Associate Member of the Royal Northern College of Music
James was conferred the honour of Associate Member of the RNCM at the conservatoire's Congregation of Awards in December 2021. The ARNCM is a prestigious new award made available to recent alumni of the College judged to have achieved outstanding success in the early stages of their careers.

University of Newcastle: Live Concerts at Home stream
In a quartet of voice, flute, harp and guitar, James enjoyed touring a folk-inspired programme, centred around Stravinsky's Four Songs for this instrumentation, in April 2022 alongside Norwegian soprano Susanna Solsrud, Scottish harpist Sophie Rocks, and flautist Meera Maharaj (of Meraki Duo). Their final concert was recorded by the University of Newcastle in Kings Hall, and is streamed on 5th May, 1.15pm: https://youtu.be/5hZ5njS_SI0
International Guitar Foundation: Guitar In London series at Kings Place
In March 2022, James' flute-guitar Meraki Duo performed at Kings Place for the International Guitar Foundation's Guitar In London series. Alongside Marino Arcaro's À Norte, Rio Preto, their programme premiered another work composed for Meraki Duo: Effy Efthymiou's Swarming, an IGF ‘La Leona: Women and the Guitar’ commission.
